Assembly Technician - Lake Orion, Michigan
Six Month Contract position
Day Shift: Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday 7:00am-4:00pm
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Job Summary of the Assembly Technician:
The Assembly Technician is responsible for hands-on assembly of prototype parts for battery pack systems. This is a temporary contract position.

Responsibilities of the Assembly Technician:
  • Hands-on individual contributor role responsible for the successful assembly and building of products to meet customer requirements and expectations
  • Assemble products to customer requirements and company goals
  • Assemble highly complex mechanical and electrical components
  • Report back to Lead Prototype Build Technician issues encountered to eliminate future production problems
  • Perform preventative maintenance/maintenance activities to support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Participate when required in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and work instruction reviews
  • Identify and support continuous improvement projects (e.g. cost reduction, efficiency improvements, etc.)
  • Support other Prototype areas as required
  • Support multiple facilities in other states
  • Data entry into multiple platforms
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Adhere to and support compliance with ergonomic guidelines
  • Follow and adhere to all safety procedures and protocols
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations
  • Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Predictable and reliable attendance
Position Qualifications of the Assembly Technician:
  • Minimum of one (1) year manufacturing or mechanical experience
  • Experience in electrification assembly line/high voltage/electrical component handling/battery manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with soldering preferred
  • Working knowledge of quality systems preferred
  • Able to work in a flexible team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/SharePoint preferred
  • Must be able to work various shift schedules; may need to work overtime
