You will be instrumental in developing materials and themes for implementation on the Color, Material and Finishes selected for product development. You should have a strong desire to work and learn in a fast-paced team environment across multiple product categories and design disciplines. This position will focus on supporting the CMF team as well as supporting key design initiatives with a high degree of visual communication. **Responsibilities:** + Research and forecast design trends, cross referencing fashion & beauty, home interiors & accessories, automotive, outdoor, lifestyle, and packaging to inform color & applications. + Synthesize and leverage trends that apply to our business categories to support color strategies. + Strong color acuity and material knowledge for manufacturing. + Storytelling through CMF to drive our design vision and execution on product. + Produce detailed CMF manufacturing specifications, documentation, and guidelines for hard and/or soft good applications. Work closely with R&D and suppliers, review samples, and direct revisions as needed throughout the development cycle. + Manage color consistency across product lines with manufacturers to achieve desired outcomes. + Identify, evaluate, and source new materials and finishes for future development. **Qualifications:** + **Education:** Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a college or university, major in either CMF, product, graphic, fashion design or a related design field required. + **Experience:** Minimum of at least 3-5 years in product development in a corporate or consultancy environment. A Portfolio that showcases your creativity, experience and skills is mandatory. + **Color Acuity:** Must have superior color acuity. (Munsell Hue Test) + **Excellent Skills:** Ideation, visualization, and communication. Proficiency in leading edge digital tools for CMF application & presentations (Keyshot, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office) + **Design Expertise:** Design advocacy of the importance CMF can play in product development and performance. + **Project Management:** Being able to manage several projects at the same time. + **Color Application:** Understands color development and how to achieve desired results with both domestic and international vendors. + **Team Oriented:** Willingness to take direction and learn from others in a multi-disciplinary design environment. Successfully collaborate across design disciplines, R&D, Marketing, Consumer Insights and Sourcing. + **Portfolio:** Strong global CMF conceptualization and implementation across consumer products showcasing ability to position and filter concepts through the lens of our brand consumers and product needs.
