The Event Experience Coordinator must be a highly motivated individual who is eager and ready to accept additional responsibilities when needed. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to a team of Sales, Events, Banquet and Culinary Managers. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, positive outlook, the ability to learn and grow, can manage multiple stakeholders and projects while understanding the urgency and importance of business goals. This person should demonstrate exceptional communication internally within the hotel's departments and externally with clients prior to arrival, on-site and post event follow up. This individual would also play a key role in developing creative solutions to improve the overall event experience. The Event Experience Coordinator will also act as the liaison between the Event and Sales Managers and/or Event Planning Manager and the on-site meeting contact(s). This position is highly visible and the central point for handling and addressing special needs or requests. It requires detailed knowledge of the hotel meeting facilities, group dynamics, and event details.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience and understanding of event execution in the areas of: sales, planning, banquets and culinary.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer applications
  • Ability to work weekends or holidays when needed
