Human Resource Intern - Summer 2026
Job Description:
Primary Purpose of Role:
Are you in search of a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in Human Resources? Joining Allison Transmission as a Human Resources Summer Intern will immerse you in an innovative and dynamic setting, allowing you to gain experience within the manufacturing sector. Our hands-on internship provides the opportunity to partner closely with the HR team and gain experience in areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Intern, you will:
+ Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, events, and programs.
+ Participate and support in formal and informal training opportunities
+ Contribute to projects supporting the Centers of Excellence (COE). Potential project areas include: Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, HR Operations, and Employee Relations
+ Perform general duties to support the HR team's daily operations and/or special projects.
+ Network and learn about multiple functions (Corporate Functions and Manufacturing)

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should:
+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or similar Business Field
+ Must rising Junior or Senior
+ Strong organizational and communication skills
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities proficiently
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
+ Basic understanding of HR principles and practices
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
