Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice, and data communications services to the entire corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

PACCAR Information Technology Division (ITD) has an exciting opening for an HR internship. This position provides the candidate the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on HR experience at a large organization. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our dynamic organization, while enhancing your resume. At the end of your internship, you will present your accomplishments to your fellow interns and senior management. PACCAR interns have a great deal of visibility within our company. About the Team

As a PACCAR IT Division Human Resources Intern, you will be a part of an inspiring team from diverse background and experiences. We are a small, but mighty team that hold the responsibility for over 400 employees spanning the US and Mexico.

You will gain experience from individuals who have been in Human Resources for over 30 years to just beginning their careers; from employee relations to employee engagement; and from recruiting talent to onboarding and maintaining - so the breadth of knowledge is far-reaching. We are looking for individuals with a thirst for knowledge, a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion, and a love for data-driven decision making.

Job Responsibilities & Projects

• Participate in job and department duties and processes as assigned
• Assist in Diversity & Inclusion efforts
• Create and build new employee files and records in SAP
• Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews and coordinating background checks
• Contribute to the IT Internship program by facilitating networking events and peer mentorship program
• Support new employee orientation and onboarding
• Boost and plan employee engagement events
• Provide feedback and suggestions as appropriate
• Manage/participate in special projects as assigned
• Create dynamic communication campaigns

Required Experience & Skills

• Must have ability to handle confidential information appropriately
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities or deadlines
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
• Proven customer service skills
• Experience using marketing tools such as Canva or other related platforms
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Education (List required and/or preferred education)

• Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business or related 4-year program with a Junior or Senior standing
