As a Junior Chemical Production Operator in Appleton, WI, you’ll help make the specialty additives—defoamers, coating lubricants, floor-coating additives, paper crosslinkers, and agricultural additives—that power these outcomes.

Learn in class and on the line

• Begin the virtual Chemical Plant Operations academic online program at Augusta Technical College while training on-site in Appleton with seasoned mentors.
• BASF will cover the entire cost of your educational program —including tuition, books, and fees—so you can concentrate on mastering the craft.

What will you practice?

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety walkthroughs and housekeeping checks.
• Own a piece of the site safety program and help facilitate meaningful safety improvements.
• Support Safe Work Permitting to keep production work safe for everyone.
• Keep production areas organized and clean.
• Use computer systems to issue production instructions, record production results, and process receiving and shipping.
• Perform in-process testing to support Quality Control.
• Receive and ship bulk raw materials and finished goods, including loading and unloading.
• Package finished products into drums and totes.
• Reconcile batches by tracking raw materials used for each finished product.
• Operate forklifts to move materials into and out of production areas.
