Overview
Hive Counseling is a growing group practice, which began in Oxford, CT in November 2024, and has since expanded to Southbury and Seymour, CT. Meghan Slekis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her career began when she founded Connecticut Partnership for Children, Inc. in 2009, in an effort to meet the basic needs of children and their families throughout the state. Her career has continued in school social work for the past decade. She founded Hive Counseling with the understanding that the mind can often feel like a busy hive—buzzing with conflicting thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that need to be understood and balanced. At Hive Counseling, we are dedicated to providing a collaborative and client-centered approach to mental health care. We offer a safe and welcoming space where individuals and families can feel empowered to build resilience. This occurs by enhancing coping strategies, promoting adaptive behaviors, and fostering positive social support systems, all of which play key roles in an individual's healing and well-being.
We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, play therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy. Our team fosters a warm and supportive work environment, ensuring both clients and clinicians feel valued and heard.
We are seeking a Part-Time Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) to join our team at our Oxford, Seymour, or Southbury locations. This position offers the unique opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including children, adults, and families, providing a variety of clinical services. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience and the flexibility to work daytime hours as well as weekends.
This is a great role for a clinician who enjoys working with different age groups and backgrounds, and who values the ability to design their own flexible schedule. If you’re looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance, we want to hear from you!
