• General Information:
  • Hours of Operation: 8:00am 5:00pm
  • Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Yes, but traveler must have 1 year of ambulatory clinic experience
  • Will you accept a first-time traveler? only if have previous ambulatory experience
  • Travelers must live >100 miles away from facility
  • Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
• Patient Types:
  • Rheumatology this position is specific to the Rheumatology Clinic
• Required Certifications:
  • RN : BLS
  • LPN: BLS
  • MA: BLS; Certified MA - CMA certification must be issued by - AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or AMCA
• Education Required:
  • RN/LPN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; RN South Dakota License
  • MA: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies
• Skills required:
  • Rheumatology experience is highly preferred
  • Medical Assistant: Rooming of patients, ambulatory EPIC experience, MA skills to include: injections, EKG, point of care testing)
• Support in the Clinic:
  • MA/CA
  • LPN
  • RN
  • MD
  • APP
  • Phlebotomy: Clinic has its own lab department
  • Radiology
• Charting System:
  • Experience with EPIC in an ambulatory clinic is REQUIRED
• Floating: If yes, where? Yes, occasionally
• Orientation: (facility and unit)
  • Dependent on specialty
  • Medical Assistant: 3 days

• Scheduling:
  • Weekend rotation: N/A
  • Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? No call
