West Point Public Schools is seeking an innovative, student-centered Middle School Principal to lead our grades 5–8 building. West Point serves approximately 770 students districtwide, including 207 students in grades 5–8.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative instructional leader who is committed to academic excellence, capable of building strong relationships, and dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive school culture that supports the success of every student.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead staff in effective instructional practices and data-driven decision-making
• Promote a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
• Build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the community
• Evaluate, mentor, and support staff development
• Support implementation of district initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Valid administrative certification
• Successful teaching and leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Must reside within the school district
