Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Relocation : Assembling, installing, and repositioning industrial machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans and blueprints.
- Maintenance and Repair : Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and repairing or replacing defective parts using precision instruments, hoists, cranes, and various tools.
- Fabrication : Creating or ordering replacement parts using shop equipment and welding skills.
- Upgrading and Retrofitting : Integrating modern advancements by upgrading and retrofitting existing machinery.
- Inspection : Using various measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and levels to inspect and ensure proper part dimensions and functionality.
- Safety and Reporting : Adhering to industry regulations, communicating with production workers and supervisors about maintenance needs, and monitoring compliance.
Required Skills and Qualities
- Technical Skills : Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers), hand tools, power tools, and potentially welding equipment.
- Problem-Solving : Ability to identify and resolve complex machinery issues.
- Reading Blueprints : Understanding and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy to ensure proper machine operation and prevent issues.
- Physical Stamina : Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and work long hours in varied conditions.
- Communication : Verbal and written skills to coordinate with supervisors and colleagues and document work.
- Flexibility : Willingness to work different shifts, overtime, and adapt to new projects.
- Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years' relevant experience required.
- CNC machine maintenance experience preferred.
- Must have the legal right to work and reside in the United States without visa sponsorship.
