Job Description

Location: Washington, DC
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance
Employment Type: Full-Time

An opportunity is available for an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile project execution across a cross-functional team in a fast-paced government environment. The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing deployment activities, and guiding project teams through all stages of the software delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage deployment schedules, coordinate testing efforts, and document release notes

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

  • Support multiple Agile teams by providing tasking and adjusting to shifting priorities

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand complex product interdependencies

  • Support Product Owners in maintaining and executing against prioritized product backlogs

  • Apply Lean-Agile principles and methodologies such as SAFe, Kanban, or Scrum to guide process improvement

  • Foster team collaboration in virtual and in-person environments

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master across multiple teams

  • Proficiency in Agile tools and practices, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and PI planning

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to coach and facilitate teams in a remote or hybrid environment

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Active Secret Clearance (must be held at time of application)

Desired Qualifications:

  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification or equivalent Agile certification

  • Familiarity with the Advana Platform

  • Experience working in large-scale government or enterprise environments

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred

  • Agile or Scrum certifications highly desirable
