Job Description

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more; including internationally in Mexico and India.

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud technologies, distributed systems, and web-based applications, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality digital media solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor"s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years" experience in software development and web technologies
• Proficiency in languages such as GoLang, NodeJS, TypeScript, React
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and architecture/infrastructure (AWS)
• Experience building real-time, large-scale, low-latency distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and large-scale deployments
• Deep understanding of OO Design Principles and Patterns
• Embrace open-source technologies
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with digital video workflow and technology development
• Understanding of playback protocols such as DASH, CMAF/HLS
• Knowledge of Server Side Ad Insertion (SSAI), transcoding, and packaging
• Familiarity with OTT video delivery pipelines , including video ingest, encoding, packaging, encryption, and DRM

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain live and linear streaming pipelines , optimizing video encoding, packaging, and delivery using in-house and third-party tools
• Provide technical support for live events and linear channels
• Collaborate with Product Owners to implement smart technology solutions to deliver premium audio and video experiences
• Continuously learn, improve, and optimize development processes
• Manage and maintain cloud-based content delivery systems and services

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $65-75/per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
